Dogdrop Franchise Inks 5 Unit Deal in Denver Colorado

Just a few months after launching it's franchise program, LA based Dogdrop has signed a five-location deal for the Denver metropolitan area.

Led by founders Shaina Denny and Greer Wilk, offers open play day care supervised by highly trained staff, with a flexible membership-based pricing model.

Dina Silverman was an early StretchLab franchisee and first operator in Denver, selling her portfolio in 2021.

“I’ve worked at Blue Chip companies my entire career and got to learn from the best when it comes to brand management and brand building. I looked at a lot of brands in the pet care space and think Dogdrop nailed it with regards to branding, value proposition, and the simplicity of their business model,” Silverman said. “I am thrilled to partner with the incredible corporate team led by Shaina and Greer. Their operating model and proprietary technology will enable me to scale quickly and offer an amazing, tech-enabled member experience to our clientele. I can’t wait for Denver dog parents to experience it. They’re going to be blown away.”

At only 2,000 to 3,000 square feet, Dogdrop locations are intentionally smaller than typical day care facilities, with the aim of delivering an unparalleled level of care to each dog for minimal operating cost, company officials said. The small footprint allows locations to be placed in dense and highly trafficked urban areas where traditional dog day cares are too big and too industrial to fit, making it easy for pet owners to drop their dog off while they patronize the neighboring retailers, officials added.

To deliver the end-to-end experience that millennial and Gen Z dog owners expect and modern franchisees need to be successful, Dogdrop is building a service platform to support all aspects of the business operations and customer experience, officials said.

We see the investment in our service platform as investing in our franchise partners' success, which is a top priority for us,” explained Denny, who serves as CEO.

Silverman plans to open five locations in the Denver area over the next three years and already has a location identified to open the first.

Silverman worked with Joshua Kovacs at Oakscale Franchise Development to secure the multi-unit franchise rights.
